Domaine d'Aupilhac
Situated on 18 hectares on vines facing the famous Granges des Peres and Mas de Daumas Gassac, this winery is in prime Languedoc territory. The altitude and terroir of Aupilhac set it apart from 95% of other Languedoc vineyards and as a result, together with the guidance of three generations of the Fadat family, the wines are excellent and stand as a flagship for the region and the appellation of Montpeyroux. Grown on minimum 35-year old vines, this wine is the estate's classic expression and is a blend of the five great southern varieties: Grenache, Cinsault, Carignane, Mourvedre and Syrah. The vines are grown on limestone and blue marl soils that have a high concentration of pre-historic fossils.
