Eric Louis
Sophie Bertin makes wines that above all else communicate their place of origin. They are fantastic examples of studies of their regions and villages, each able to show diversity of character and place, style and flavour. This Sancerre is their speciality, having been the region in which Pauline, Eric Louis' great grandmother, planted her first vines after the second World War. Still there to this day, these vines, both red and white, create an incredible wine called 'Pauline' that respects the traditions and winemaking used in the late 1940s. This Sancerre, though respectful of tradition, is more about modernism and freshness and the ability to match a wide range of foods. Elegant and complex, it is a wine to savour and enjoy - regardless of your preferences for grape variety or colour!
