Joseph Drouhin
This wine comes from the southern region of Drouhin's property portfolio and although the climate is well-disposed to making ripe, rich wines, this St Veran retains the focus and tension that we have come to expect from Drouhin's wines. It is flavourful and fresh, but has a little more generosity than other wines from the Macon and has the feeling of being one of Drouhin's more genuinely charming wines. Very fine to pair with poultry and fine shellfish, this is also a white that we have often recommended for roast meats such as pork and even beef, such is the complexity and body it possesses.
