Joao and Paolo Soares are brothers who run their family business that includes a chain of wine shops in the Algarve and a wine distribution company. With much success, they decided to build their own winery in the Alentejo and began planting in 1998. Teaming-up with legendary winemaker Luis Duarte they began a process of forming what was to become one of the most important wineries in the region. As a champion for the cause of Portuguese modernism, this winery has no peer and the wines are simply irresistible. Using traditional and international varieties they have made fantastic wines that speak of the world-wide trend for approachability and for the Portuguese terroir that they are able to represent.
