Descendientes de J. Palacios
Alvaro Palacios has one of the most lucrative names in Spanish wine production in the modern era. The estates that he has collected over the last number of decades are simply some of the most exciting and high quality available and have brought attention to their regions in ways that no other wine maker could have done, not just on account of his fame but also the quality of what is achieved. This has led to other wineries developing in the wake of his achievements, but that doesn't seem to cause any concern as his wines continue to increase in quality, year after tear. This wine is made from Mencia, which has a number of similarities to Garnacha and is indigenous to the area of Bierzo. As one of the best value wines in Wine Spectator's top 50 wines from 2015 it is definitely one to try and to develop a deeper understanding about the wines of this great country.
