Isole e Olena Chianti Classico

Isole e Olena Chianti Classico is a classic Italian red wine from the Chianti Classico region, which is located in the heart of Tuscany. The wine is produced by the Isole e Olena estate, which has been in the same family for several generations and is renowned for its traditional winemaking techniques and commitment to quality.

This Chianti Classico is made from a blend of Sangiovese, Canaiolo, and small amounts of other local grape varieties, which are hand-harvested from the estate's own vineyards. The wine is fermented in stainless steel tanks and then aged for 12 months in oak barrels, which adds subtle notes of vanilla and spice to the wine.

On the nose, Isole e Olena Chianti Classico has aromas of ripe red fruits, such as cherry and plum, as well as floral notes and a hint of earthiness. On the palate, it is medium-bodied with a smooth texture and balanced acidity, featuring flavours of dark cherry, tobacco, and leather. The tannins are firm but well-integrated, giving the wine a long and elegant finish.

This wine is highly versatile and pairs well with a variety of Italian dishes, such as pasta with tomato sauce, grilled meats, and aged cheeses. It can be enjoyed now or cellared for several years to allow its flavours to further develop and evolve.

Wonderful nose of black cherries and cassis with soft vanilla tones. Dry with fresh acidity, soft mellow tannins and lovely weight of complex jammy fruits - cherries, plums with a hint of liquorice.

A flat delivery rate of €10.50 applies to all orders. Orders over €95 qualify for free delivery and no fee is applied for in-store collection.

We aim to dispatch all wine orders within 24 to 48 hours, however this may vary depending on product availability and during peak trading hours. Most wine products will be delivered or can be collected within 5 working days from time of ordering.

All wine deliveries are provided by courier. Deliveries take place on Monday to Friday only. You will receive a notification and a tracking number once your order has been dispatched.

Cancellation or amendments to wine orders must be made and confirmed directly with our sales team between 9am and 4pm, Monday - Friday and no later than 72 hours before the scheduled delivery or store collection date.
