A delicious, crisp and zingy wine that carries more body and weight than most Sauvignons although not dissimilar in style. Perfect in warm weather.

Quinta do Romeira
This wine has an ancient history that dates back at least as far as the Duke of Wellington's relationship with Portugal and its wines. In recent years, its production was managed by the Companhia das Quintas that was set up to run multiple wineries during the Salazar era. This winery has shown us what considerable quality is available from Portugal's white wines. Using this indigenous grape variety, Arinto, they produce three distinct styles: this crisp and fresh unoaked wine; a Reserva that is from riper grapes and a further Reserva that is Barrel-aged, fermented and performs like fine Burgundy. This, their entry wine, is gorgeous, fresh and has been likened as a Portuguese Sancerre.
