Yalumba's first vines were planted in 1849, making it the oldest family-owned winery in Australia. Based in the town of Angaston in the Barossa valley, they make a large range of wines in all styles: sweet Botrytis wines, fortified, sparkling, dry white and full rich and iconic reds. Their vines are brilliantly well-maintained and are planted in diverse settings across Australia. From these heritage-rich plantings they gain great knowledge for what works best. They have made a wine with the Galway name since the 1940s, named after an early 20th century Governor of South Australia who was a keen supporter of Yalumba's activities. This is full and round with integrated oak and juicy flavours of black and red berries.
