Description
Bodega Colomé Estate Torrontes is a white wine from the Salta region of Argentina, made from 100% Torrontes grapes. The vineyards, located at high altitude (over 2,300 meters or 7,500 feet above sea level), are some of the highest in the world, providing unique growing conditions for the grapes.
In the glass, the wine has a pale yellow color with greenish hues. On the nose, it offers a fragrant and floral bouquet of jasmine, orange blossom, and rose petals, with hints of citrus and tropical fruits. On the palate, the wine is dry and crisp, with a lively acidity that gives it a refreshing and zesty character. flavours of peach, apricot, and grapefruit dominate, with a hint of minerality that adds complexity to the wine.
This Torrontes wine is an excellent pairing for spicy Asian cuisine, grilled seafood, and salads. Its crisp acidity and floral aromas make it a perfect match for dishes with bold flavours and spices. It is best served chilled, around 8-10°C (46-50°F), to fully appreciate its freshness and fruitiness.
Overall, this is a unique and delicious wine that showcases the potential of high-altitude winemaking in Argentina. Its floral aromas and zesty character make it a great choice for warm weather and outdoor gatherings.
