Domäne Wachau Smaragd Ried Achleiten Grüner Veltliner is a premium white wine hailing from Austria's Wachau region, specifically the Achleiten vineyard, which is renowned for producing some of the finest Grüner Veltliner grapes. The wine is a full-bodied, dry white wine that showcases the unique character of the Grüner Veltliner grape.

In the glass, the wine displays a bright golden color, and on the nose, it offers a complex aroma that features notes of ripe stone fruits, such as apricot and peach, along with hints of white pepper and a subtle minerality. On the palate, the wine is well-structured and balanced, with a creamy texture and a lively acidity that gives way to a long and satisfying finish.

As for food pairing, this Grüner Veltliner wine is a great match for a wide range of dishes, thanks to its versatility and complexity. Its crisp acidity pairs well with dishes that have a slightly spicy kick, such as Asian cuisine and seafood. It also pairs well with grilled meats and poultry, as well as vegetable-based dishes like salads and roasted vegetables. In Austria, it is a traditional accompaniment to schnitzel.

Bright greenish yellow; offering distinctive aromas on the nose of golden delicious apple, white pepper, some lychee and delicate herbal notes, hints of exotic fruits; medium bodied with a crisp acidity, very harmonious, juicy fruits and spicy in the finish. A characteristic Federspiel, balanced and very typical.

A flat delivery rate of €10.50 applies to all orders. Orders over €95 qualify for free delivery and no fee is applied for in-store collection.

We aim to dispatch all wine orders within 24 to 48 hours, however this may vary depending on product availability and during peak trading hours. Most wine products will be delivered or can be collected within 5 working days from time of ordering.

All wine deliveries are provided by courier. Deliveries take place on Monday to Friday only. You will receive a notification and a tracking number once your order has been dispatched.

Cancellation or amendments to wine orders must be made and confirmed directly with our sales team between 9am and 4pm, Monday - Friday and no later than 72 hours before the scheduled delivery or store collection date.
